First things first, marking out the spot, and DIGGING.
We made a wooden box to use as a form for the foundations of the pier. The idea is to isolate this block from the surrounding concrete pad, so vibrations from moving around dont affect the scope.

I aligned one of the sides to approximately true south. It should give a nice unobstructed mounting spot for when the mount is bolted in.
Concrete pad poured! Theres foam lining the space between the pad and the pier block.
